Answer: Nope! It’s not at all too late to book 2026 senior pictures, especially if you’re here in Minneapolis. 

It’s April, and graduation is right around the corner!

It’s the final countdown! Well, it is if you’re graduating this spring, whether that’s from high school here in Minneapolis, or from college. It might be spring break right this second, but once you’re back at school it’s only a matter of time before exams, and that graduation ceremony you’ve been working toward the last four years!

And you know what that means? There’s still time to have your senior pictures taken. Yes, even though graduation is barreling towards us like a freight train. Yes, even though the yearbook has already been printed. And yes, even if you’re not on the schedule yet.

It’s not too late to schedule senior pictures!

It would be easy to think that if you don’t have your senior pictures taken in the year BEFORE your graduation, that you’ve missed out on the opportunity. I mean, if you think about it, one of the major reasons that people have graduation or senior photos taken in the first place is to go into the yearbook, and the yearbook is long done by now, right?

While that’s super true, there are plenty of other reasons to have senior pictures taken, that aren’t all about submitting them to be in the yearbook. After all, you have control over whether what goes in the yearbook is what you look back at as your memory of this time later. It doesn’t HAVE to be the home base for reminiscing! You can have your own images, that live in their own album, that are JUST you, for example. Or, you could have a little box of prints made, that feels even more bespoke than a printed book. If you’re a bit more retro than that, you could even have them printed in a polaroid style – it’s entirely up to YOU how your memories are preserved, you’re not stuck with whatever the school prints for you. And it’s never too late to preserve your memories for you!!

I’ve talked about this before, and I’ll talk about it again – this is a weird year. And “weird” is honestly putting it super lightly. We’ve been through so much as a community – seen so much, experienced so much that we shouldn’t have had to. And we’re still going through it together. It would be incredibly easy for it to feel like nothing is worth celebrating right now, because when we look around, what’s even happening out there – you know? And I get it. That feeling isn’t because you’re young (if you, the graduat-ee are reading this), it’s because you’re human, and there’s nothing at all wrong with it. It’s completely normal to feel that way.

But all the struggle that we’re going through doesn’t make celebration less important. It makes it even MORE important. You are here. You are continuing to do incredible things, despite everything going on around you on a daily basis. And that’s powerful. That’s important. And you deserve to remember the fact that you have accomplished so much under the sheer stress that we’ve all experienced this last year.
