Calling all 2025 Seniors!!

Have you scheduled your senior photos yet?? If you haven’t, DON’T WORRY – it’s not too late. We still have plenty of time to make your session happen! It’s one of the magical things about working with Jessica Strobel Photography – I pride myself on turning image packages around super quickly. Within a week of your session (absolute MAX!) you’ll have the image proofs in your hands, so you can pick your favorites for editing.

Which means even now, as we head into your senior year (if you’re a 2025 graduate, that is!) there’s still time to get your senior pictures! You’ll be able to use them for all of the cool things you could’ve used them for if you had them taken over the summer.

You’ll have time to submit them to the Yearbook

If you’re quick, you’ll still be able to submit your senior pictures to the yearbook! Most schools ask for those to be sent in sometime in October, so if you stretch into the winter… you might miss the deadline. But if you get your session in super soon, you’ll have plenty of time to choose a favorite image to show off who you are as a person in your senior yearbook!

You’ll be able to send them to family, in digital and print

Of course, no matter when you have your senior picture session taken, you’ll have time to share them with family. There’s no timeline on posting a photo on Instagram (is that what people are doing with these in 2024? I’m pretty sure it is) or even better – mailing Grandma a print! You can take it to her in person too, of course, but there’s something magical about snail mail. Call me old fashioned, I’m just an analog kind of person. But anyway, I couldn’t skip over this one just because it’s an obvious use for your photos – it’s important to think about when you’re scheduling your senior picture session!

Senior Pictures taken now will have plenty of time before your Graduation Announcements!

One of the big benefits to taking your senior photos in the fall of your senior year, is making sure you have plenty of time to include them in your graduation announcements, or graduation party invites! It’s one of the coolest ways to use them. There are tons of templates for these kinds of announcements on sites like Vistaprint, or my personal favorite, Canva – but for the most uniquely “you” announcements, you’re going to need images. And that’s where your senior photo session comes in!

Your session can get in before the cold

It’s worth mentioning that if you schedule your senior pictures now, you’ll be able to have your session before the cold hits! If we time things right, we might even be able to use some super cool autumn colors. But being able to book in before the cold means you have more options – unless you’re someone who loves the snow and you absolutely want to have your session in the snowy months, scheduling now means you’ll be able to use outdoor locations AND indoor locations. If you wait until the winter, then you’ll end up either locked to “snowy” or “indoors” with no option for exploring your favorite places while they’re more… comfortable. I’ve got nothing against snowy sessions, but you might not want to spend your session in the freezing cold! Plus, you can wear whatever you want when it’s not freezing. And I don’t know about you, but “puffy coats” don’t really give “graduating this year”.

There’s still time to schedule with any venues you might want to use

Sometimes, depending on the things you’d like to capture in your senior photo session, we need to reach out to venues to make sure they’re okay to be used! For example, do you want images in your dance studio? Or to use an area on your school’s campus? Maybe you have a favorite record shop, or café where you spend a ton of time, and you want images there. We can use all kinds of locations throughout Minneapolis and the Twin Cities, and of course we can use my studio – but sometimes if you have a really specific vision, we have to schedule to use a location! And if you book now, there’s time for us to make that happen, and you can still have all of the images you need before the deadlines for things like the yearbook.

That means you don’t have to choose between having an image set you love, and submitting a custom photo for your yearbook! It’s a win-win in all possible ways.

Now is the PERFECT time to schedule your senior pictures!
