I’m here today to share why I think maternity photos are important and why you should get them done. Here are the real reasons you need to have professional maternity photos done.

TREAT YO’SELF AND CELEBRATE YOUR PREGNANCY

Many women are said to feel the best during their pregnancy. Regardless, if this is you or not and whether you love how you look; know a professional maternity photo session will make you feel beautiful (I always promise that you will absoultley love your images). The gowns, the locations, the life growing inside of you! I literally only have pictures of me standing sideways looking into the bathroom mirror to document my first pregnancy. I cannot express how sad and disappointed I am that I didn’t invest in a professional maternity session. Every time I am photographing a new mommy to be-which is often, I am reminded that I don’t have nay myself. So basically, I’m saying don’t be me instead let’s be friends, hire ME as YOUR photographer and I promise I will help you create beautiful photos that you will treasure forever and we will have a blast doing it together!

DOCUMENT THE JOURNEY

I absolutely believe that pregnancy is the perfect time to reflect and reminisce on how you and your partner came to be. Remembering what led up to this part of your journey to becoming a family. It doesn’t matter if it is your first, third, fourth or tenth child it’s all part of your story and it’s important to honor and document how you got to this point. Maternity sessions are truly just an extension of the family sessions.

CAPTURE THIS MOMENT IN TIME

You won’t be able to get this moment back. Life will never again be the same- so capture these moments as they are now. As a mom, I truly wish I had more pictures of Jack in my belly- when James was still an only child. It is truly emotional going from one to two children.

IT’S SO HARD TO WAIT

I don’t know about you, but pregnancy was such an EXCITING time for me. I couldn’t wait to meet James or Jack. Let’s take some photos so you can remember the joy, the excitement, and all the other emotions that come with being pregnant and bringing new life into the world.

THE MORE THE MERRIER

Have other kiddos already? Great, let’s get them involved. This time may be hard for children, change is never easy at least it’s not around my house! Let the children be part of the fun and make them feel special by involving them in the maternity session. Let them be the center of attention for a few moments.

JUST HAVE FUN WITH IT

Making a big reveal can be a lot of fun. Photos are a great way to share your babies name, gender or if you are having multiples- especially in the social media age that we live in. Not only are you sharing information with those that you love you are also documenting this magical moment in time.
