Scheduling A Mini Session Is So Easy You Can Do It From Your Phone

QUESTION: Is it difficult to schedule a mini photo session?

ANSWER: Nope! It’s so easy you can book from your phone, in less time than it’ll take to read this post.

Mini Sessions don’t have a “Mini” Impact!

I know the sound of a “mini session” makes it seem… well, small. Mini is literally in the name. And it’s super true that mini sessions with Jessica Strobel Photography here in Minneapolis are quick – that’s half the point. You’re in front of the camera, then off camera, so quickly that sometimes kiddos who would normally be camera shy don’t even have time to process what hit ‘em.

And because that’s part of the way those sessions are designed, it’s very intentional that it’s set up that way. But while mini photo sessions are quick, stress-free, local, and you come away with gorgeous photos – that doesn’t mean they have a smaller IMPACT than full sessions with me in the studio!

Updating Your Family Photos is Important

Here’s the thing about mini sessions that makes them so magical – they fit super easily into your busy life! And that’s the biggest barrier to booking family photo sessions that I hear about from clients all the time. Life is just… a lot. I mean you’re running between soccer practice, gymnastics, the school pickups and drop offs – and then the weekends? Well those are full of more back and forth between competitions and events.

If your hands are full, Mama, I see you. I’m right there with you. But it doesn’t make updating your family photos any less important, and in fact, even makes it MORE important! When you’re spending all of your time running between things, it makes life go even faster. There’s no time to pause – and the days just start smooshing into eachother. And in that “smoosh”? It gets extra easy to forget the details. To skip over documenting huge parts of your kiddos’ childhoods – and parts of YOUR life, too.

Jessica Strobel Photography Makes Updating Family Photos Easy

And all of that and more is why it’s important to me that it’s incredibly simple for you to book in a mini session, to update the professional photos you’ve got of your family. I get it – a full session doesn’t always fit the bill. But a mini session is a great way to get a BIG impact, with a MINI commitment. And even the actual admin process for booking has been designed with low-stress in mind!

Printing your photos makes sure that there are highlights. Important moments, frozen in time, that your family can look back at for generations, without worrying about how volatile digital storage can be.

Just Head to the Mini Page…

Step one, is to head over to the mini page, where I’ve got listings for all of the available minis on the calendar. You can see examples from previous sessions, read the session descriptions…

1 – Check out what’s available

And that’s your first step! Go check out what I have available on the calendar, and see what fits your vibe. Maybe you’re looking for a location where we’ll have lots of gorgeous florals in the background, or maybe you’re going for more of an industrial, neutral tone! Either way, there are options that’ll fit with your needs. When you’re picking, it can be helpful to keep in mind how the final images will look hung in your home! Because as we’ve talked about a lot here, the point of these photos, for you, isn’t so that they’ll sit on a hard drive gathering digital dust. They should go on your WALLS! Or your desk! Or your coffee table! (Or all of the above, that works too!)

Once you’ve checked out the available sessions, it’s time for step two!

2 – Check your schedule

We’re going through the steps involved in booking, and since it’s so easy… even checking your schedule deserves a mention. Once you’ve picked the type of mini you want to book, it’s time to look at what dates and times are available for it, so you can grab one that’ll definitely work for your family! When it comes to picking a time, think about things you’d always think about – like what time your toddler turns into a pumpkin for the night, and what evenings your teen has activities to account for. You know, all the things that live in your head all the time. I don’t need to tell you how to balance your calendar! (Lol)

And of course, once you’ve picked the type of session you want, and selected a time that works for you…

3 – Reserve and pay right there!

It’s time to reserve and pay! You’ll be taken through the steps in a super straightforward format, right there and then! No need to wait for me to get back to an email, or send you an invoice – it’s instant, and easy, and honestly? A no-brainer.

Yes, it REALLY is that easy.

Once you’ve picked out your session type, selected a time, and gone through the sign-up steps… you’re golden! You’re all booked! Because yes, it IS that easy. After that, how much you prepare for the session is largely up to you. But I even have a full guide available that includes everything you could possibly need to prep or think about before your mini session, including info about things like your wardrobe choices (because we all know how difficult it is to coordinate everyone’s outfits).

So at the end of the day, what’s my point here? Booking a mini session to update your family photos is incredibly easy. It’s so easy, it’ll take you less time than it took to read this blog post about it. Yes, really.

And since that’s the situation… what’s stopping you? Go take a look at the mini schedule, and grab a slot that works for your clan. Because even the busiest of parents deserve to remember these years!
