Blogging for your Photography Website
Welcome to the next installment of “How to Blog For Your Photography Business”!! So far we’ve talked about what your blog posts need, how to come up with ideas for them, what in the world SEO actually even IS, how to choose your keywords, and even more about social templates and how they can help your business. We’ve even talked through how to write a blog post title! I want you to have all the tools you need to succeed with your photography business, because community over competition is how I play the game.
If you’re here, I probably don’t have to tell you how helpful blogging can be for your photography website – you already know, right? You know that it’s helpful for SEO, it’s helpful for creating a baseline of expectation for your clients… and it’s helpful to get your primary pages to rank on search engines. It’s really one of those things that when done right, pulls its weight in your business. I’m big on only devoting time and money to things that move the needle – and blogging? It DEFINITELY moves the needle.
You Already have the Ultimate Guide…
I’ve already put together what I consider to be the ultimate guide to blog ideas, and I totally think you should go check it out. It actually walks you through the steps to creating an UNLIMITED list of ideas for blog posts, because I honestly don’t actually recommend using lists like this for all of your blog ideation. Otherwise, you’re just going to be blogging about things everyone else has already posted on. Now, it’s 2024, I won’t pretend that there are tons of unique ideas out there to blog about, you’re almost always going to be saying something someone has already said. Your job becomes saying it the way YOU need it to be said, the way YOUR ideal clients need to hear it, to come work with you.
And that’s a huge part of why I recommend using a process like the one I explain in my other post on this topic. But all that being said, I know that sometimes… you just need a quick list! Something that you can use as a jumping off point, instead of pulling from the knowledge you already have in your brain. Especially if you’re in a hurry, or you’re just starting out.
So today, I’m listing a TON of blog topics you can use for your photography business! I wouldn’t necessarily suggest using these as the specific titles, because you’ll want to have your own spin on them for that. Like I said, it’s about making sure you’re making the content YOURS, not just saying the same things everyone else is saying on repeat.
But everyone needs a starting point every once and a while!!
