Quick transition, card and board games to play with preschoolers during COVID-19

by | Apr 6, 2020 | Kiddos

The fact that I worked with kids for 20 years prior to starting my photo gig might finally be paying off. If you are anything like me and “playing” with your kids isn’t your thing I’m here to help.

To help my families out I’ve compiled a list of games I love or “do not mind” playing with my kids. Game titles are clickable, connecting you to info on how to play. Remember, play is learning. Children literally learn through play. By playing games children are learning how to take turns, follow rules, control emotions when losing ect. Setting expectations and arrangements on how the game will be played BEFORE the game starts in essential in our house. It helps to minimize breakdowns and behaviors. For example, no changing rules in the middle of the game, playing game in Spanish versus English, who goes first….

Games: NO supplies needed just your brain!

These games are great fillers! Perfect for transition times if you have a kid that needs to be occupied. I enjoy these because they take very little effort on my part. My 2 year old even likes to participate even though most of the time he has no idea what he is doing.
