It’s been a weird year, folks.
This year has been bonkers. There’s just no other way to say it – it’s been weird. And if you follow me on social media, you’ve seen that my family and I have been through a lot. Lots of changes – and most of them have turned out alright in the end, but it’s been a journey. And I don’t think I’m alone in that, in the slightest. Lots of people have had a rough year, from larger systemic things (you know what I mean) to smaller everyday struggles, there are things we’ve been going through as a community, and it’s not all been a walk in the park.
Through it all, you’ve been with me
But through all of the struggles, and changes, and moments big and small, you’ve been with me, supporting me. I can’t emphasize enough how thankful I am for every single family who chooses to work with me, and every business who chooses me to help support their growth. I love what I do, and I’m incredibly grateful to be able to spend my days doing something that brings me genuine joy. Without all of you, without the families who come back year after year, without the businesses who give me their trust – I wouldn’t be where I am today, and I fully recognize that.
So I want to say thank you, in this season where we’re all thinking about and reflecting on how the year has gone, and preparing for the next one.
Capturing memories for your families, and helping you grow your businesses is what real magic is made of
Being able to watch your families grow is truly an honor – and I don’t even really know how to say it in a way that captures the whole story. From meeting you in the studio, to seeing you at minis, to coming to your homes and helping lay out gallery walls that bring your memories into the real world… it’s all magical.
This year has also been full of amazing business collaborations in the Minneapolis community and beyond, from working with Arianne Zager and Bri Spraggins in New York, to photographing the Kendra Scott store that opened in the Southdale Center, it’s been a year of amazing business connections that go far beyond just what happens when the camera shutter is clicking. And your trust means the world to me, every time you choose Jessica Strobel Photography for a session.
This year also saw changes to the Jessica Strobel Team
I’m not just thankful for the families and businesses that work with me here in Minneapolis – but I’m also truly grateful for the contribution and dedication of my new in-studio assistants, Kat and Katelyn. The support they’ve shown for the families and businesses that we work with is not only top tier, but the results they get for our clients are too. Without them, the growth and expansion we’ve seen this year wouldn’t have been possible!
I look forward to what 2026 brings, and the new opportunities that will come with it – not just with my team, but also with your families and businesses.
I’m incredibly thankful for each and every one of you.
Like I said, it’s been a weird year. But it’s been a weird year we all experienced together, and one that we’re not soon to forget. Here’s to a 2026 that’s full of even more magic – and hopefully, a tiny bit less chaos! No matter what, I’ll continue collaborating with businesses in the Minneapolis area, connecting with families so that we can capture your memories, and making sure that the studio is available to others who want to use it. Because just like always here at Jessica Strobel Photography, even when the world is weird and wonky, community over competition is how we roll.
