The Process Behind my Fine Art Prints | Jessica Strobel Art

by | Feb 25, 2025 | Brand Photography, Business

As you might have noticed, I started offering art prints!

I’ve been talking about it in a ton of places lately, so you’ve probably already noticed that I started offering fine art prints! You can see a whole shop of them over here, and if you prefer to order things like art prints on marketplaces like Etsy, I have some available over there too!

I get that it might seem a little weird for someone who offers family photography to start selling art prints of like, flowers, because… there are no people in them. But there’s a throughline that runs through everything I do, and I’ve talked about it before, but I’m going to talk about it again today, because the topic itself is more important than ever.

All of my work is about connection.

Everything I do is about connection. In my studio, I pride myself on building connections with your people. When we’re out in the world for a session, that’s the vibe I try to bring to our work together. It’s about connecting with you, connecting with your kids – and capturing the connections you have with eachother!

It’s also a thread that runs through my work with businesses and for branding photography – having a small business? It’s ALSO about connecting. Connecting with your audience, connecting others with tools that help them in some way, or providing services and connecting with people that way. So it should come as no surprise, that when it comes to my fine art prints, I’m ALSO focused on connection!

Connection includes how you feel in your home!

It might seem like “connection” doesn’t CONNECT (Do we like the pun? No?) with fine art print collections. And you’d be right, if we’re looking at it from a surface level. I mean, they’re pretty pictures of flowers. Like I said before, there are no PEOPLE in them. So what’s the… connection?

When it comes to my fine art prints, the connection in question isn’t between you and someone else – sometimes, it’s between you and your space! Your space should feel like its YOURS. And that involves having furnishings and artwork that bring you joy. A house isn’t a home until you fill it with things that you love, including fine art prints that make you smile. Whether that’s because you like to be reminded of gorgeous garden flowers in the depths of winter, or whether it’s because you’ve brought some 90s nostalgia in with the New Kid on the Block prints!

My inspiration comes from… you guessed it… connection

So when I put together a collection of fine art prints, I’m thinking about things like how you can connect more with your space. I’m thinking about how you can connect with joy – and I’m thinking about how you can connect with your favorite version of YOU – the happy version!

I’m also thinking about how to create a tone that connects you back to the past a little bit, through that nostalgic vibe I mentioned earlier. We all long for decades past sometimes, and especially right now, while so many things in our lives are up in the air, and feel like we can’t impact them. But what we CAN control, is ourselves, and our spaces, and we can use that control to help bring us some peace.

Sometimes, peace is about simplicity – like featuring a single floral print on your wall, that makes you smile every time you look at it. And sometimes, it’s about surrounding yourself with gallery walls that bring you joy, and involve fine art prints paired with prints from a family session with the people you love the most. It’s different for everyone!

The collections I’ve put together have something for everyone!

But luckily, my print collections HAVE something for everyone! Whether you’re looking for a single, bold, standalone print, or you’re looking to outfit a whole gallery wall. And if you don’t know how you feel about gallery walls yet, then we can talk about creating one for your home! You don’t even need that much space (believe it or not) to put one together.

I have all kinds of resources about building gallery walls, selecting your layout, and choosing whether you should get an album or wall prints after your session, and all of those can help when you’re considering fine art prints, too!

Want to bring some fun into your space?

So I want you to ask yourself – do you feel connected to your space? To your home? Does walking through your halls and sitting in your livingroom bring you joy? If not, maybe it’s time to make some upgrades.

And if fine art prints are going to be a part of that process, check out the shop! I have tons of prints there, all designed to bring a little more joy into your day, no matter what your vibe is. And if you have a suggestion for a themed collection of prints, let me know! I would love to create a set of prints that lines up with what would make you happiest. Because right now especially, we all deserve a little more joy, and a little more connection.
