Remember those templates I’ve been making?
So I’ve talked about the templates I’m creating (with a secret branding pro contributor, shout out to you, you know who you are, babe!!) and putting out there for the world to see. And use. Mostly use.
But did you know that I’m not only selling them on Etsy? I’ve also got a Creative Market shop! And that’s where I’m adding a ton of other fun things like stock imagery from my travel, and much, much more! There’s even a potential world where I ask that branding pro I mentioned to contribute some pre-made logo templates that can be purchased in a one-off format, if you’re into that kind of thing. (Really though, let me know if you ARE into that kind of thing, because if you want them, we’ll make it happen!)
Creative Market is a great place to look for brand starting points.
Speaking of Creative Market, if you haven’t heard about it, it’s super cool, whether you’re a photographer or another business owner. I talk a lot about branding, staying consistent, and getting your business OUT THERE in front of your ideal clients, and Creative Market tools are a great way to get a head start on that! There’s something for everyone there, whether you’re just starting out, or you’re a seasoned business owner.
They’ve got social media templates, workbook templates, branding templates – there’s even tools for your website. If it’s creative, and you can use it in your business, it’s probably in there.
The templates range from use on platforms like Canva, to PDFs you can edit in Photoshop. (Though we’ve talked before about why PS isn’t the best place to edit PDFs. If you know, you know.)
Your business deserves consistent branding.
I don’t care what you do. Well, I do, but what I mean is your industry isn’t important to what I’m about to say: your business, no matter WHAT it is, deserves consistent branding. And given the massive variety of things we have to do as business owners on a daily basis… I totally get why you’d want that process to be easy.
And if you’re anything like me, you want to have your hand in it. You want a level of control that you don’t really get when you fully hire things like design out. Templates and tools available on Creative Market (and Etsy, no shade to Etsy) make it easier to handle that kind of consistency as a non-designer. And for me at least, having that kind of ease makes the difference between being able to keep a handle on my social posting, and kind of throwing spaghetti at the wall with it. If I don’t have to think about my designs being consistent, and how I should tweak the size of a specific component, then I can spend my valuable time thinking about strategy, growing my audience, and generally using social media the way it’s INTENDED to be used: for connection.
Check out what I’m doing over there, and keep an eye out for new template suites that work for YOUR brand!
I wanted to keep this brief, but… keep an eye out for what I’m doing over on Creative Market! And if you’ve got a request for a tool you don’t see in my shop, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask for it. Chances are, I’ll go make it happen!
