When you get your gallery after your session here in Minneapolis with Jessica Strobel Photography, you might think the experience is over. I mean, you’ve booked, come into the studio or met me out in the wide world, and now you’ve got your photos! So it makes sense that would sound like the end of the road. You did the thing, you got the stuff. Done deal.

But I want to challenge that perspective a little bit, because it’s my personal mission to make sure that everyone who works with a professional photographer, whether it’s me or someone else, looks at getting their photos at the “end” as the ACTUAL beginning! You’ve had your photoshoot experience, sure. You’re done with that side of it. But you’ve not even begun to experience the photos themselves yet, because seeing them on a screen isn’t the same thing as holding them in your hands!

There are a ton of options when it comes to prints

I get that printing photos means they’ll take up real, physical space, which some people think is pretty solid justification to just… not print them. Maybe you don’t have space on your walls, maybe you’re not allowed to hang things in the home you rent – or maybe you just straight up prefer hanging paintings vs hanging printed photos. Your aesthetic is up to you, I’m not here to judge!

But no matter what your style is, there’s an option for prints that you can work into your life, because it’s not all about hanging a canvas on a wall, or ordering a couple 4×6 prints. You can order super simply, and it’s so easy you can do it from your phone. Everything from presentation boxes full of prints, to framed and unframed prints – the options go on and on. You can even look through Christmas ornament options, if you want to cover your tree in photos of your favorite people! The prints you receive when you order through your gallery are archival quality, using tried and tested printing methods that will stay brilliant and colorful for years to come.

But I now offer custom printing, too!

That being said… your gallery isn’t your only printing option anymore when you work with me here in Minneapolis, because I’m now offering custom printing! The whole thing came out of a side project I’ve been working on for a while – Jessica Strobel Art. I don’t just photograph people – I also photograph cool STUFF, that makes you feel things! But I’m not telling you that to promote it, I’m telling you because it’s what led to having printing equipment. I was originally working with Print on Demand platforms to fulfill the printing for my fine art prints – but honestly? I didn’t love the quality coming out of their printers.

Print on Demand has gotten huge in the last few years, because it’s a great way to not have to hold stock of your art prints to ship when people order. So it’s hugely convenient. But when I ordered test prints of my work, I just didn’t love the quality. Some things came out grainy. Some prints arrived wrinkled, or wouldn’t flatten when I took them from their shipping tubes. And that wasn’t it, for me. I wanted to be CERTAIN that when you ordered an art print from my shop, you got the absolute highest quality artwork. And that meant investing in printing equipment, so I could take the process into my own hands!

Having the tools to print at a fine art archival level is great for Jessica Strobel Art – but it also means things for you, my Jessica Strobel Photography clients! Because after your session, ordering through your gallery is no longer the only way to get prints from your latest family photo update. You can order directly through me!

There are so many pros to that option, and not all of them are about the quality. Because obviously the quality is peak – but there’s also the timing aspect of it! When you order your prints through me, you don’t go into a queue with thousands of other people who’ve made orders, and your order isn’t just a number in a system. It’s something I handle, by hand, with care. And because you’re not lined up with thousands of other orders, you can know it’s going to be taken care of as a priority.

But that’s not all, either! For those who are worried about privacy and don’t want images of their kiddos going through various online ordering systems, and being seen by a ton of strangers, can order through me directly and then you know that the only people seeing those photos, are… well, the people involved in taking them in the first place! The same goes for more private, intimate sessions, like boudoir photography. Prints from your boudoir session make great gifts for your partner, but the process of ordering them can feel really vulnerable and uncomfortable. Strangers will see the photos in the process, after all! But when you work directly with me for your prints, you can trust my discretion, and get the best of all possible worlds.
